Description
In this workshop, you will learn the colourwork techniques needed to knit block patterns from Knit the City, including twist placement, carrying floats, next-row trapping and how to troubleshoot any errors. The workshop will include row-by-row guided knitting of one block from either Sydney or London, setting each participant up to begin their own project.
All skill levels from beginner to expert are welcome. Some experience with knitting is required.
What's included:
4-colour yarn pack of 4-ply Avalon
1.5 hours x 1 session with Jake
What to bring:
• a copy of Knit the City book (Available in store in May)
• 2.75-3.25mm needles, straight or circular
• a crochet hook matching the size of the needles
• spare DPNs, one size smaller than the needles
• needle stoppers or a stitch-holder for any unfinished blocks
• measuring tape
• yarn needle
• scissors
• pen and paper
