Join our guest teacher Yoshiko Ito for an immersive dive into sashiko. Students will learn about the history of the craft before moving on to hands-on practice of the basic stitches and creating their own drawstring bag & lucky charm
Based in Sydney, Japanese-born visual artist Yoshiko Ito creates works inspired by the traditions and aesthetics of Japan. By combining traditional techniques with contemporary artistic practice, she aims to preserve and revitalise the rich cultural heritage that continues to shape her identity and creative vision.
What's included:
• 1 spool of Sashiko thread- colour chosen from selection on the table
• 4 pre-cut pieces of fabric
• Sashiko needles
• 10% discount card
• 3 hours x 1 session
