Here are this week's popular patterns available online. We are looking ahead to warmer weather with a cute tank top, a geometric blanket knit in individual squares, and a lightweight shawl. Just a reminder that the patterns are not available on our site so will need to be purchased and/or downloaded from elsewhere but we will provide a link. If you need more assistance with yarn choices or quantities please contact one of our stores where our helpful and knowledgeable staff will be on hand!

Sagebrush Tank Top by Grace Forthefrills

This easy ribbed crochet tank top is exactly what you will want to wear all summer long! It is beautiful crocheted in 100% cotton or a cotton blend yarn that will give it drape and shine. The Sagebrush Tank Top comes in both a cropped and normal length and is so versatile that you will definitely want to make a few in different colours and yarns!

Our first choice to knit this tank in is Morris Avalon 8ply. Spun from ultra soft 100% pima cotton, Avalon is the perfect yarn to crochet a top out of. It is available in an array of jewel tone colours as well as soft neutrals, perfect for any wardrobe.

With a crisp look but a soft feel, Creative Linen has great stitch definition and washes and wears beautifully. It will show off the rib stitch of this tank well and drape nicely.

Another great choice is Rowan Cotton Cashmere 8ply. Combining spectacular stitch definition with a soft feel, Cotton Cashmere works well for spring and summer garments. It is a rich blend of 85% cotton and 15% cashmere, adding that little bit of luxury as well as softness.

A perfect sustainable option is Rowan Denim Revive, made from recycled cotton fibres with an almost tweedy effect. It has a capsule colour palette of muted shades that contains the classic denim shades but also goes beyond the blues.

Starflower Blanket by Tin Can Knits

This modular blanket is the perfect thing to knit in summer and then have ready to cosy up with once Autumn hits! Knitting the individual squares is not as hot and heavy as knitting a larger blanket or sweater. You can use any thickness of yarn that you like as well as customise the size, making this perfect for not only your living room but baby blankets or bed size throws as well. The Starflower Blanket is also just as beautiful in one colour as it is in multiple shades.

Rowan Alpaca Soft DK, a premium blend of extra fine merino and baby alpaca, makes a luxuriously soft blanket. There is a beautiful colour palette available to knit either a multicoloured Starflower Blanket or make it in one classic colour.

Another one of our top choices for knitting blankets is Morris Estate 8ply. The colour palette available in this yarn makes it an ideal choice! Estate is easy to work with and is also one of our more economical yarns so perfect for large projects.

Manos Alegría Grande is available in a lot of fun, bright semi-solid and variegated colours which are perfect to play with for this blanket. And using a 10ply yarn will  make knitting this fairly quick!

This blanket would be extra soft knit in the pima cotton of Morris Avalon 4ply. Knitting a 4ply version would make a beautiful summer baby blanket.

Vertices Unite Shawl by Stephen West

Vertices Unite is a really fun shawl that lets you play with colour and different shaping techniques. It is seamless, with each section being picked up and knit from another which makes it feel like a big puzzle. With both a small and large size available you can have fun mixing and matching any 4ply yarns that you want. Or if you want to use a thicker yarn and produce a larger shawl, simply adjust your needle size to match your yarn weight.

Manos Fino is the perfect shawl yarn, with its combination of soft merino wool and the lustre of silk. There are so many stunning colours to choose from for this playful knit.

Another great Manos yarn, Alegria is hand painted and very squishy, making it ideal for accessories. You will have a lot of fun knitting some sections of your shawl in speckled or variegated colours as well as semi-solids.

Made from 100% superwash merino wool, Morris Empire makes an incredibly soft shawl. Available in 60 shades, the colour combinations you can create are endless.
