The Fat Fur Dog is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with ribbed edges and a comfortable fit. The design begins at the neck and is shaped with increases to create leg openings, before continuing seamlessly down the body. The front and back are worked separately for a short section to create space for the legs, and then joined again for the rest of the body.
The dog sweater is finished with a ribbed edge at the belly and a shaped back section to allow freedom of movement - and to help keep things clean on walks. The pattern includes instructions for adjusting the length to better suit your dog.
