Advanced Cast On and Off - MELBOURNE

Sometimes it's the little details that can make all the difference.

Here we introduce you to cast on and off techniques that add a little extra finesse to your knit work.

Swatch 1: Long tail cast on, stocking stitch, 3 needle bind off
Swatch 2: Tubular cast on, 1x1 rib, tubular cast off
Swatch 3: German Long tail cast on, garter stitch, Icelandic cast off

• 1 ball of 8 ply yarn is provided
• Students need to bring:
  • 1 pair of circular needles with 80cm cable, 3.75 to 4.5 mm (as appropriate to make standard gauge)
  • a 3rd needle in the same or a close size
  • small scissors
  • large wool needle
