Description

Picking up a new pattern can bring a range of challenges. We've gathered together our most commonly asked questions and problems into one amazing knitting theory class!

Over two hours we will look at:
  • The basics of reading a knitting pattern through understanding standard abbreviations as well as compound abbreviations found in brioche and cables.
  • Different styles of pattern writing and determining if you match the skill level in one.
  • How to substitute yarns- finding yarn information, matching fibre characteristics and calculating the meterage needed for a project.
  • Clarifying common terminology such as M1, M1R and M1L
