Free Crochet Dot Baby Blanket

The Crochet Dot Baby Blanket is a versatile, geometric design that would look at home in older kids or teens rooms as well as on the lap of us grown ups. And of course, it will make the perfect addition to any babies nursery. The colours in the sample are listed in the pattern but you can also create your own colour combinations or take a cue from our suggested colourways below.

A simple repeating design allows you to work each block individually and then join the squares together. A great project for the warmer months ahead as you only have one small block in your hands at any one time.
If you are looking to start a larger project, don't feel constricted to the prescribed measurements in this pattern! Simply keep making more of the repeated block until you reach the desired size for your bed or sofa!

Repeated block designs are a great place for beginners to start. Take your time getting that first block right, you'll be speeding along soon.

Morris & Sons Estate 8ply is a 100% Australian wool yarn. It is the yarn we recommend beginner crafters as it's easy to work with it's nice firm twist. It comes in a fantastic colour range of 61 different colours so you will be sure to find colours you love and has become our beloved staple! It is the yarn we recommend for those wanting an easy to care for end product as it is machine washable on a cool cycle. A must in any healthy stash.

Which colour combo will you select?

    Hi,

Is this an easy blanket to crochet? What stitches are involved please? I am only a beginner at crochet.
Assuming I bought wool and pattern from you how how much would the blanket cost to make?

    Thanks

    Hi Susan,

With the current covid situation our class availability is a little limited. We could offer you a private lesson in one of your stores. Just contact your local store and we can look at possible times and dates.
    Thank you
