Morris & Sons

Hello !

I welcome you and all of my other dear woolly friends, to 2016!

It appears we have another leap year. For the athletic and sport followers we have a special year that brings us the colourful Rio Di Janero Olympics. For all the star gazers we have a year that brings a brief visit from Mercury as she transits between us and the Sun. But what does this year bring for all of us knitters, crocheters, and crafters you ask? This year brings Morris and Sons its fifth store, Richmond, which has recently opened! This year brings Morris and Sons and all of our friends new projects, new arrivals, classes, ideas and of course, endless inspirations.

Perhaps for some of us who have not yet found it, this year brings us love, true love. With Valentine’s days near upon us- you better keep your eyes open because that someone special might just be around the corner!

I do hope you’re all up for more exciting news from us. Read on to hear about our new arrivals, classes, and for some cool new ideas to get another crafty year of yours started and remember, this year’s a leap year- that means one WHOLE extra day of knitting, crocheting, tapestry, creating, making, fixing or whatever floats your crafty boat!

Best of 2015!

From all of us here at Morris and Sons we’d like to thank you for your ongoing support, your crafty tales, for bringing a smile to our faces and for sharing with us your passion for making beautiful things. We had a wonderful year with you all last year and look forward to an even more exiting one this year. Talking about dear friends- one of our most popular toy patterns from early last year was Violetta and Friends. Take a look;

To some of you who made this pattern, Violetta and friends may have been a welcoming gift to a new bundle of joy in your life, perhaps they may have been a special decoration over last year’s festive season or maybe they are sitting somewhere in your home on display for all those to gaze in awe at. Whatever part these gorgeous little dolls play in your life, I’m sure it’s a special part because they were made with love, by you.

Have you also made Violetta and friends? If so, we are now asking you to share with us a little snap, it would mean the world for us to see. Please send your photo/s to [email protected] and include your name, the yarns used and a short description about the piece and what it means to you.

Who knows? Perhaps the most creative picture sent to us will feature in our next newsletter? Better make sure she’s smiling!
